International Week of Happiness at Work

Everyone wants to be happy, don’t they?
While being at work is part of our daily lives, one of the best ways to achieve a happier life is to be happy at work.
Additionally, happy employees are one of the most important factors in a company’s productivity and working atmosphere.

At SailyGroup, we therefore place special emphasis on the satisfaction and well-being of our employees. Everyone should feel welcome and valued.
For this purpose, we initiated a small team action on the occasion of the International Week of Happiness at Work, between September 19-23.
Initiated in 2015 by Maartje Wolff and Fennande van der Meulen, this week is a celebration to bring happiness back to our workplaces.

Our team activity looked like this: Each employee was anonymously assigned a person – his or her so-called ” lucky partner”. He or she was supposed to make that person happy during the specified time period with small kind gestures, such as bringing a coffee or clearing a cup.

We are proud to be able to say with certainty that our office was full of good humor and happiness this week – even more than usual.
The result were great gestures: small gifts in the form of flowers or baked goods from the bakery, motivational sayings on sticky notes or simply nice, honest words in the form of compliments.
In the future, we hope to integrate more of these small gestures into our daily working lives in order to build a constant sense of satisfaction and team strengthening into our office.
A goal that we can definitely accomplish as a team!
